Redneck imbecile James Inhofe (Pinhead-OK) was flapping his jowls about global warming the other day. What happened? Lunacy.
On C-Span’s Washington Journal this week, Sen. James Inhofe (R-OK), the godfather of global warming deniers, said that he will travel to the climate change summit in Copenhagen this fall to present “another view.” “I think somebody has to be there — a one-man truth squad,” he said. Throughout the program, Inhofe went through his tattered global warming denier claims: that climate change is a “hoax,” that CO2 is not a pollutant, and — latching on to the latest false right-wing talking point — that clean energy legislation will cost American families $1,700 a year. At the end of the interview, Inhofe explained what guides his views:
CALLER: Yes, I agree with the Senator on what he says about the climate change. I believe that the world is just changing like it usually does. [...]
INHOFE: I think he’s right. I think what he’s saying is God’s still up there. We’re going through these cycles. … I really believe that a lot of people are in denial who want to hang their hat on the fact, that they believe is a fact, that man-made gases, anthropogenic gases, are causing global warming. The science really isn’t there.
Lunacy.
Lets just say – just to entertain this possibly six-toed doofus and his small-minded theories – global warming ISN’T real. At the worst – at the absolute worst – all we’re doing is trying to conserve our planets resources and make this a healthier place to live.
At the same time, I have no issues with religion. I don’t like it in my government and I don’t appreciate it when politicians use it for their own agendas, but just like my feeling on Global Warming – good can come out of it when applied with the right heart. In the end, the basic core message is “be a good person and you’ll be rewarded.” There’s nothing wrong with that.
But you can’t disregard fact and then demand adherence to faith. That’s lunacy.
This guy is ignoring science he doesn’t like – like Global Warming and I’m sure Evolution – while in the same breath, using faith to make decisions that affect everybody in this country.
Does this make anybody else’s head explode? That this guy wants to be a one-man truth squad? And he’s going to travel abroad and remind the rest of the world why we’re ranked in the 20s for both Math and Science to do it?
