That&#039;s because you&#039;re using reason to argue with people who neither employ nor embrace it. A tiny step is good, but they and those who share in equally delusional &quot;reasons&quot; for denying others their basic human rights had best believe that a growing number of people aren&#039;t afraid to offend them or piss them off by ridiculing their ridiculous beliefs. In public, if at all possible. For some of us, it&#039;s a sacred, moral and PATRIOTIC duty. 
 
I wouldn&#039;t say they&#039;re living in the 1950s, although they may be giving modernity a nod... they still believe in magical underwear, for fuck&#039;s sake!
