Asshat of the week!

And the award goes to…

NEW ORLEANS – Louisiana’s governor and a U.S. senator joined Friday in calling for the ouster of a local official who refused to marry an interracial couple, saying his actions clearly broke the law.
Keith Bardwell, a white justice of the peace in Tangipahoa Parish in the southeastern part of the state, refused [...]

He’s not suggesting a coup, he’s just saying it wouldn’t be the worst thing.

Yes. Imagine a bloodless coup, where the will of the majority is overthrown by a shrill minority.

Just imagine.

But more importantly, imagine the sick, pathetic human piece of dog crap that would wish for that to happen.

Nicely done, loon from Minnesota.

So, remember when Michelle Bachman decided that the census was some sort of threat to people?  Well, the people who believed her – apparently – fought back.

Yeah, awesome.
So, does this a-hole from Minnesota get to continue walking around like she’s not complicit in the death of this census worker?  Or do we finally start holding [...]

“Underfair” night in Atlanta, Georgia.

I like Atlanta.  I think it’s one of the greatest cities in the South, and I do not mean that as a backhanded compliment.   I’ve found it warm, friendly, creative and tolerant.  So, when I saw this article (click the link for the full article) I was a little bummed out:

(APN) ATLANTA — At [...]

BOYCOTT SUNDANCE: It’s time to take this issue out of the hands of local idiots.

In the same breath they are telling the gay community – who are such a big part of Hollywood community – “Yeah, we know it sucks… but it’s SUNDANCE.” And for the only week they have to stand in Utah, they are essentially, tacitly, standing WITH Utah.

BOYCOTT SUNDANCE: Utah Governor tips his hand.

Well, you can say this.  He may be an idealogogue, but at least he’s not savvy enough to keep his horrible ideas hidden.

Associated Press – September 11, 2009 11:05 PM ET
SALT LAKE CITY (AP) – Utah Gov. Gary Herbert has barely been in office a month, but he’s not wasting any time charting a more [...]

Nicely done, jackass.

WASHINGTON – Americans would be fined up to $3,800 for failing to buy health insurance under a plan that circulated in Congress on Tuesday as divisions among Democrats undercut President Barack Obama’s effort to regain traction on his health care overhaul.
As Obama talked strategy with Democratic leaders at the White House, the one idea that most appeals [...]

Texas sized socialism: These boots were made for walking… right past the facts.

Personally, I find this much more insidious – much more, dare I say it, socialist – to do this. After all – which governments attempt to bury facts? Or re-write history? Or eliminate the suffrage of those they disagree with? Anybody? Beck? Anybody?

I wonder how many of the people on that board were screaming “Socialist” over Obama’s speech to school children, while practicing it in the privacy of their government offices? Nice Politburo you have there, comrade BigHat McBootsFullacrap.

Boycott Sundance Part III: Real effects of a real unfair law

This is about the simple, kind, human concept that you shouldn’t be able to fire someone simply because you don’t like how they’re different.

And if that’s the case, why isn’t Hollywood making THAT an issue?

The Company You Keep and Create, Sarah Palin.

Look, I know that Sarah Palin can’t be responsible for every comment that ends up in her comment section. But the flipside is – the loon to human ratio responding to what seemed like an uncharacteristically kind comment is pretty ridiculous.
