Here's a little bit on a lot. It's a crock pot of crap!

I know, I know.

Zero excuses really, except I’ve been trying to work the EQ knobs on both work and life, and the “blog every day” knob got pushed down a bit.

(EQ board. Hit. I’m in my 40s.)

* I wanted to write a wide ranging piece about Roman Polanski, but I ended up with a tweet/fb update where I pretty much admitted I hope he spends the rest of his life in prison. Really? He gets to do that in his 40s, flee, and then live a life of moral and artistic superiority? Anybody else get to do that? It doesnt matter that his victim has been bought off, or that Hollywood wants him left alone. There’s such a clear set of right and wrong here, it’s ridiculous.

* I wanted to tell everybody who could get the H1N1 flu shot that isn’t, that I think you’re being foolish. ”It’s being rushed out!!!” screams your media. Hey, guess what: EVERY FLU SHOT IS. Every flu shot is a mish mash of the best hope that you prevent the flu. It’s ANNUAL, you lunatics. I know you think the scary african american guy is going to inject nanobots to control your ever movement and take away your (guns/freedoms/religion/right-to-date-your-cousin) but that’s not the case. Get your shot. I don’t need your underprotected spawn wiping his or her nose on an elevator button I have to push.

* I wanted to discuss the White House’s war on Fox News, which I agree with, but I think it stupid. The administration can’t spend 24 hours a day whining about it, and Fox News can. Bad strategy, guys. Institute your policy, then go into radio silence. Yes, they are a fringe-tainted propaganda machine, but they are better at it than you. And for proof, see… every issue you ran on.

* I wanted to discuss “Balloon Boy,” and how the kid barfing on Larry King reminded me of Stan throwing up on his girlfriend on “South Park,” and how his parents, Jon and Kate, and the Octomom should all be shoved in the same rickety car and sent careening over Mulholland Drive.

* I wanted to point out that John McCain’s “Internet Freedom Act” is anything but, and what he wants to do the internet and the bill being called “The Internet Freedom Act” is like his time as a prisoner of war being called “The North Korean Five Star Hotel Act.” Wanting to allow AT&T and Verizon to set the throttle on internet speed is like letting Roman Polanski watch your daughter.

* I wanted to announce how happy I was Brett Favre lost, threw his arm so many times it should be spaghetti next week, and in his final play Sunday ate turf. But I have deeper reasons for not liking the guy, and I wanted to go into it. But suffice to say, if he gets his whiny face handed to him Sunday, I will be breaking out the good stuff.

A lot of stuff I wanted to say.

But mostly, I wanted to say I’ve been working. And, I have to prioritize. So, probably until November 7th, I’ll probably do a series of these “I wanted to say” posts: Quick little updates of stuff I found amusing, annoying, and blog worthy – but didn’t have the time to rage out an entire post about it.

And then, when the comments fly on Facebook or here, jump in.

Otherwise, probably not.

I agree that this award is more for his world-wide perception than any accomplishments, and that it’s more of a thumb in the eye by those on the left who felt the last eight years was nothing but Bush jackassery. That being said, I also agree with this:

I mean, really – I know you hate the guy, but this is ridiculous. If you scream about everything – if the sky is falling about everything – at what point do you think I shut you off?

You had valid concerns about health care – then you started with the “Death Panels” crap.

You may very well have some points about his policies – but you use lunatics to deny Obama’s citzenship to take the lead.

I agree that the trip to Copenhagen was ill-advised, and a waste of Presidential Pixie dust – but cheering America losing is pathetic.

And now this – the guy wins a pretty cool award, and it’s time to whiz all over it.

Glenn Beck wants to give it to members of the Tea Party? I dunno – maybe if there’s some sort of lesser version of the prize – like the kind they hand out at T-ball where everybody gets a medal. Otherwise, probably not.

And the sad part is – the minute you saw this in the news, you knew how it was going to turn. Conservatives moaning about it, talking about how it’s undeserved, like – I suppose from their point of view – his Presidency.

I know I’m preaching to the deaf here – but every time I cock an eyebrow about something Obama is doing — and trust me, I do — the GOP leadership and their partners in the media remind me why anything Obama does is probably going to be the lesser of two evils.

So keep it up, guys. You are your own worst enemy.

So, Obama is on five – FIVE different Sunday morning news shows to promote his health care plan. The one place he’s skipping? Fox News. I think it’s a mistake.

Culled from Phil Rosenthal, from the Chicago Tribune.

Obama, who has always marched to the tune of his own iPod when it comes to media and message, has been everywhere. On Sunday alone, he has five one-on-one news-show appearances set to run, which might not be unprecedented for Brangelina but is for a sitting U.S. president.

Apparently, the address to the nation with a speech to a joint session of Congress didn’t drive the talking points home hard enough. Neither did the one-on-one interviews with “60 Minutes,” CNBC, Bloomberg News and Men’s Health magazine, where he offered his 12 life lessons.

So Obama is doing ABC News’ “This Week With George Stephanopoulos,” CBS News’ “Face the Nation With Bob Schieffer,” NBC News’ “Meet the Press With David Gregory,”CNN’s “State of the Union With John King,” as well as an interview for Spanish-language Univision. The 15-minute interviews were all to be taped Friday at the White House.

Yes, Obama is bypassing Fox News Channel, although arguably its audience is the one that needs the most selling on the president’s views, his programs and the president himself; and Fox Broadcasting, which ran the season premiere of “Glee” rather than his address to a joint session of Congress earlier this month.

True. But it’s either pissy, or a fumble.

Chris Wallace, the sad little step-sister who didn’t get the interview with Obama, isn’t very happy about it either, calling the administration “The biggest bunch of crybabies (he) has dealt with in his 30 years in Washington.”

Well, I sort of have to agree. Not with the “crybaby” part – Fox may claim to be “Fair and Balanced” and maybe their news is, but their pundits – the people that do 99% of the talking and then wrap their “balanced news” around them – are so partisan and right it’s impossible to go “Hey, that one minute where they talked about Cap and Trade seemed pretty fair!”

That being said, Democrats and Independents watch Fox News – not just Republicans. These are the people that can, and have been, swayed against him in the last few months. Why not walk into the lions’ den, give Pouty McWhiney balls his 15 minute interview and move on?

Why not show that you have more courage to meet “the enemy” than the enemy has shown you?

Yes, you are controlling the message on the other five channels. But guess what? Those people have already made up their minds. The people you need to talk to are people who are getting their “information” from the likes of Beck and Hannity and O’Reilly, etc.

You need to show fearlessness in the face of demagoguery.

And it can’t be for fear of them breaking whatever journalistic rules: The fact that you’re still going on ABC after they shot an off-the-record Tweet about Kanye West kills that rationale.

So, basically, it’s sour grapes. Which is fine. You can’t dispute the fact that Fox News has it in for Barack Obama. That they will be branding themselves between now and the 2012 election as the people you can turn to when you want wingnut conspiracy theories, thinly veiled race-baiting, and lunatic spin.

They don’t like Obama, and the feeling is clearly mutual.

But (I could be wrong, but read somewhere) half of the people who WATCH Fox News might still be inclined to support the guy. Half are Dems and Independents – or at least claim to be. By not going on Fox NEws to talk about Health Care (or Afghanistan or Missile Defense or whatever), Obama has made some of this discussion… about Fox News.

Which makes his decision not to appear another Summer/Fall misjudgment.

SALT LAKE CITY — Authorities have arrested a man who allegedly told bank tellers while cleaning out his savings account in Utah that he was on a mission to kill President Barack Obama.

The Secret Service said Daniel James Murray, 36, was arrested Friday outside a casino in Laughlin, Nev., a gambling town 100 miles from Las Vegas on the Nevada-Arizona line.

He was charged Thursday in Salt Lake City with a federal count of conveying threats while talking to tellers last month at Zions First National Bank in St. George, Utah.

Assistant U.S. Attorney Barbara Bearnson said Murray was in federal custody in Nevada and likely will get a court date there Monday. Neither Bearnson nor the Secret Service would discuss whether Murray was considered to be a serious threat.

Charging documents say Murray, originally from Rexford, N.Y., is the registered owner of eight guns.

He was described by his father and former neighbors in Rexford as troubled but not dangerous, known for strolling down a street wearing a cape while talking to himself.

“He’s sick. He’s been sick for about 10 years,” Michael Murray, his father, told the Times Union of Albany, N.Y.

In charging documents filed Thursday, the Secret Service said Daniel Murray made bizarre statements while opening _ and then closing within two weeks _ an $85,000 savings account.

First, he demanded to know if Zions First National Bank was solvent, saying, “I’m sure if citizens happen to lose their money, they will rise up and we could see killing and deaths,” bank tellers told a Secret Service agent.

On May 27, as a teller counted out bills no larger than $50, Murray delivered a rambling discourse on the probability of economic and social disorder, ending with “We are on a mission to kill the president of the United States,” a bank employee told the Secret Service.

The next day, Murray withdrew the remaining $72,000 and closed his account.

In Washington, Secret Service spokesman Malcolm Wiley said Murray offered no resistance when he was arrested at 7 p.m. Friday on a warrant in the parking lot of the Riverside Hotel and Casino in Laughlin, Nev. Wiley wouldn’t offer any further details. It wasn’t clear if Murray had a lawyer.

Winner. ”He’s been sick for ten years.”

Hey, guess what. Don’t care. It took enablers to make him a threat… that’s what I care about.

Look… the good news is, most of these asshats that watch Hannity, or Beck, and realize they “have to be the one to save America” are idiots.

It’s easy for a bank teller, or a plumber, or anybody within 100 feet to realize – they’re going to do something stupid.

And most of those people will call the appropriates.

But after Tiller’s murder, I get tired of hearing them whine how they’re not responsible. If I give an eight year old an M-80 and tell him to put it in a puppy’s ass and see what happens, am I not responsible? You bet I am.

And yet, the people who cause this sleep in sheets with a thread count we can only dream about.

People like Daniel Lewis? They will die stupid and alone. While living, they have the brains of a wet fart

But you know what? I’m tired of Fox supplying the beans.

After three months on the job, President Obama continues to be widely popular.

That is according to a new poll released today by Gallup that shows Obama’s approval rating at 65%.

President Obama’s approval rating has stayed relatively consistent — and high — since he was sworn into office in January. He started out with a 66% rating and dropped temporarily to 62% in March.

That puts Obama into a select group of presidents whose approval ratings have increased from February to May of their first year in office.

Since World War II, only three first-term presidents — Dwight Eisenhower, John Kennedy, and Ronald Reagan — have had a higher average approval rating in May of their first year.

In recent years, declining approval ratings have been the standard. George W. Bush’s rating dropped four points from February to May, and Bill Clinton’s dropped nine.

So, can we stop with the nonsense that people are “fed up” and have “had enough?” You know, besides the tiny group of people who haven’t accepted the election yet?

Read it and seep… in. Read it and seep in.
